Abduqodir Husanov: From the Reserves to the Main Squad

For Abduqodir Husanov, defender of the Uzbekistan national team, the first half of the current season was not easy. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Due to injuries, he lost his place in the main squad and his playing time decreased. At times, it seemed as if he was completely sidelined.
However, in football, opportunities can arise unexpectedly. After key defenders Ruben Dias, John Stones, and Josko Gvardiol got injured in Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team, 21-year-old Husanov stepped onto the field and became an important player for the team.
In recent matches, he has performed reliably in the defensive line and stood out as a key figure for the team. Husanov’s play was recognized not only by the coaches but also by the fans.
In a poll held among Manchester City fans in January, he was voted the player of the month. This clearly proves how he has been performing on the field.
However, unexpected events occurred during the winter transfer window. Reports emerged that two English Premier League clubs, Everton and Bournemouth, contacted Manchester City with interest in acquiring Abduqodir Husanov.
According to journalist Kamil Fishbach, Everton considered the option of a full transfer for Husanov. The club showed interest in him to strengthen their defense.
Additionally, a loan plan involving Jack Grealish was also discussed. Although Everton did not achieve this goal in the winter, it is said they might try again in the summer transfer window.
Bournemouth offered a loan deal for Husanov. The club aimed to use their connections with Manchester City to strengthen their squad.
However, it has been reported that Manchester City’s management and Guardiola have no intention of letting Husanov go. In conclusion, Abduqodir Husanov has succeeded in reclaiming his position and has now become one of the important players for the team.
If he maintains his current form and consistency, he could attract much more interest in the summer transfer window. The notion that Husanov has been "left on the bench" is becoming increasingly inaccurate.
