Uzbekistan boxing made history in 2025

The year 2025 was truly historic and full of achievements for Uzbekistan boxing. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Throughout this year, our national team achieved great results in two major international competitions. Uzbekistan's boxing school once again proved to be among the world leaders.

However, these great successes sometimes seemed to have not received enough recognition. First of all, at the World Boxing Organization's first-ever world championship held in Liverpool, our men's national team won 6 gold medals.

This was not only a victory but also a record-level achievement. Uzbekistan's voice rang out loudly once again on the world boxing stage.

The next major competition was the world championship organized by the IBA in Dubai. Here, another historic event took place: Asadkhoja Moydinkhojaev became the first Uzbek boxer to become a three-time world champion among adults.

This result was not a coincidence but the outcome of endless hard work and strong willpower. There have been cases of two-time world champions in Uzbekistan boxing before.

Our athletes such as Ruslan Chagaev, Abbos Atoyev, Bahodir Jalolov, Abdumalik Khalokov, and Hasanboy Dusmatov have achieved this feat. However, Asadkhoja Moydinkhojaev opened a new chapter in this list by becoming a three-time champion.

He stood on the top podium at the 2023 championship held in Tashkent as well as at two international competitions in 2025. The results of 2025 are not just ordinary statistics but demonstrate the increased international prestige of Uzbek boxing.

These achievements undoubtedly serve as strong motivation for the new generation of boxers. Now the main task is to continue these successes and to demonstrate the high level of Uzbek boxing again in 2026.

After all, achieving success once is good, but continuing it means becoming a true legend.
