Rangnik forced Kampl to play in a family situation

Kevin Kampl, the Slovenian midfielder who recently ended his football career, recalled an incident that happened during his time at RB Leipzig. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The incident is related to their coach at the time, Ralf Rangnick. This was reported by euro-football.ru.

According to Kampl, when his wife was about to give birth, Rangnick still forced him to participate in the team’s match. The coach told him: "I will send a plane for you, you absolutely must play in this match."

The match was against Wolfsburg, in which RB Leipzig won 4-0. After the game, Kampl was surprised by the coach’s statement to journalists.

Rangnick spoke as if the player had willingly and wholeheartedly participated in the game, while in reality Kampl’s situation was completely different. This incident caused uncomfortable feelings towards the coach in the player.
