The match is scheduled to take place on June 10. Prior to this, it was reported that England would also play a friendly against New Zealand on June 6.

Both matches will be held near the training base located in the state of Florida, USA. The exact stadium address is expected to be announced later.

England and Costa Rica teams have met twice so far. In a friendly match held in 2018, England won 2-0 thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Danny Welbeck.

In the group stage of the 2014 World Cup, the match between these teams ended in a 0-0 draw. England will start their participation in the current World Cup with a match against Croatia on June 17.
