Syomin: Safonov became PSG's main goalkeeper

Former head coach of the Russian national team Yuriy Syomin shared his thoughts on PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov's performances in an interview with the publication Euro-Football.ru. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to euro-football.ru, Syomin emphasized that Matvey Safonov has currently become PSG's main goalkeeper and fully deserves to start in the lineup.
However, the coach also added that if the goalkeeper makes mistakes, his playing time may decrease. Such situations are common in football and the process is based on natural laws.
The 26-year-old Safonov has participated in four Ligue 1 matches this season, conceding three goals. Additionally, he managed to keep a clean sheet in two matches.
In the Champions League, he has played in two games, conceding only one goal. Matvey Safonov's contract with PSG is valid until mid-2029.
This agreement further strengthens his future position at the club.
