Naumov: Mourinho should work in the Saudi championship
Former president of the "Lokomotiv" club, Nikolay Naumov, shared his views on the future prospects of the famous coach Jose Mourinho's career. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He spoke about this in an interview with the publication "Euro-Football.Ru". The information was reported by the euro-football.ru website.
According to Naumov, the most successful periods in Mourinho's career are behind him. Now he needs to take a break for some time to recover.
The well-known specialist, who was previously distinguished by his unconventional decisions and tactical styles, has now become a rather ordinary and average coach, he emphasized. For this reason, Naumov recommended Mourinho to work in the Saudi Arabian championship.
He noted that in this league, there are high salaries, as well as many scandals and noise, and the opportunity to work with experienced and older players. This could be a good opportunity for the coach to test himself in a new environment.
Currently, Mourinho's team – "Benfica" – is preparing to play against Madrid's "Real" club in the Champions League round of 16. The first match is scheduled to take place on February 17 in Portugal.
