The Ar-Riyadh club will play against Turkmenistan's "Arkadag" team on February 14 as part of the AFC Champions League. The Portuguese star striker was expected to return to the team soon.

However, the coach announced that this time he decided to give Ronaldo a rest. According to Jorge Jesus, due to the team's very tight schedule, it was necessary to give some of the main squad players a break.

"We have an important match against 'Al-Fateh' in the Saudi league ahead. Therefore, we decided to give Ronaldo and other key players a temporary break," said the coach.

These remarks were also reported by the Al Nassr Zone publication. The coach added that it is not a new situation for Cristiano Ronaldo to miss some matches.

According to him, the striker has previously not participated in matches held outside Saudi Arabia. The next Saudi Pro League match between "Al-Fateh" and "Al-Nasr" teams will take place on Saturday, February 14.
