Ronaldo will not play in the AFC match

"Al Nasr" head coach Jorge Jesus revealed the reasons why the team's star player Cristiano Ronaldo will not take the field in the upcoming match. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by euro-football.ru. The Riyadh team will play against Turkmenistan's "Arkadag" club on Wednesday within the AFC Champions League.

The Portuguese forward was expected to return to the squad soon after the boycott. However, according to Jesus's decision, Ronaldo will also not be in the lineup for this match.

According to coach Jorge Jesus, due to the team's dense match schedule, it was deemed necessary to give rest to Ronaldo and other key players. He explained this decision by the approaching important match against "Al Fateh" in the Saudi Professional League.

According to the "Al Nassr Zone" publication, Jesus emphasized that giving Ronaldo rest is not a new situation. He has previously missed some matches held outside Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi league match between "Al Fateh" and "Al Nasr" is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 14.
