"Al-Nasr" head coach Jorge Jesus explained the reasons why Cristiano Ronaldo will not take the field in the upcoming match. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by the *euro-football.ru* publication. The Ar-Riyadh club will play against Turkmenistan's "Arkadag" team on Wednesday as part of the AFC Champions League.

Although the Portuguese star forward Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to return to the field soon, he was not included in the squad this time either. According to Jorge Jesus, the coaching staff decided to give rest to Ronaldo and several other key players considering the tight match schedule.

They believe this decision will help the team prepare well for upcoming matches. Especially, the recovery of the players is crucial before the important Saudi Pro League match against "Al-Fateh".

Additionally, Jesus emphasized that resting Cristiano Ronaldo is a usual practice. According to him, it is not the first time Ronaldo has missed matches played outside Saudi Arabia.

As a reminder, the match between "Al-Fateh" and "Al-Nasr" within the Saudi championship is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 14.
