Russia will play its first friendly match with Mali

Alexander Mostovoy, former player of the Russian national team and former player of Spain's "Celta" club, highly praised the Russian Football Union's (RFU) efforts to find opponents for the national team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It is known that on March 27, the Russian national team will hold a friendly match against the Mali national team. This was reported by "Euro-football.ru".
According to Mostovoy, it is very difficult to find strong opponents under the current circumstances. Nevertheless, organizing matches against teams such as Chile, Peru, and Mali by the federation is considered a great success.
He particularly emphasized that the Russian national team is competing not with lower-level opponents but with worthy teams. The Mali national team currently holds the 54th position in the FIFA ranking.
This team won a silver medal at the Africa Cup of Nations in 1972 and bronze medals in 2012 and 2013. Until now, the Russian and Mali national teams have never played against each other.
This match is expected to be a new experience for both teams.
