A Friendly Match is Planned Between Russia and Mali

Valeriy Gazzaev, former head coach of CSKA club and who has worked with the Russian national team, expressed his opinion about the possibility of the Russian national team holding a friendly match with Mali. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to Gazzaev, the Russian Football Union is making every effort to find a worthy opponent for the team. He emphasized that the Mali national team holds a high position in the FIFA rankings and has skilled players in its squad.
He also added that playing a match with a team like Mali under the current restrictions would be a beneficial experience for the Russian national team. The Mali national team currently occupies the 54th position in the FIFA rankings.
The team's coach, Tom Saintfiet, recently confirmed in an interview that negotiations have been held regarding a friendly match with the Russian national team. However, he also stated that there is not yet full certainty about the match taking place.
