Russia national team is looking for opponents for March matches

Olga Smorodskaya, former head of Russia's Lokomotiv club, shared her thoughts about the possible matches of the Russian national team in March. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Earlier, media outlets reported the possibility of the team led by Valery Karpin playing against the national teams of Mali and Guatemala. This information was provided by the euro-football.ru website.
According to Olga Smorodskaya, the Guatemala national team declined this match. Therefore, the Russian Football Union continues to look for a new opponent.
She assessed the Mali national team not as a strong opponent but rather as a weak team, and emphasized that organizing matches with local clubs would be more appropriate instead of such games. This opinion was cited by the Metaratings source.
As of now, the Russian Football Union has not officially confirmed the national team matches planned for March. However, it has been noted that there is very little time left before the national team gathering, that is, less than five weeks.
