Although the Russian Football Union (RFU) has not issued an official statement about this, the Mali Football Federation has confirmed several times that the match will take place in Krasnodar. This was reported by euro-football.ru.
According to Sidi Bekaye, the secretary general of the Mali Football Federation, the team will travel to Russia with its strongest lineup for the match. He stated that the main players of the team, including Bissuma, Niakate, Sangare, and Nene, will arrive in Krasnodar around March 25–26 and conduct pre-match training sessions.
Sidi Bekaye also emphasized that the agreement to organize the friendly match was reached very easily. He noted that the Mali team is pleased to compete against a strong opponent.
