Russia and Mali match may be held in March

Former football star Aleksandr Mostovoy shared his thoughts about the match that may take place in March between the national teams of Russia and Mali. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by the euro-football.ru publication. Although the Russian Football Union has not officially confirmed this match yet, representatives of the Mali Football Federation have emphasized that an agreement on the game exists.
The match is expected to be held on March 27 in the city of Krasnodar. According to Mostovoy, the level of Russia’s opponents is gradually increasing.
Previously, the team played against squads like Nigeria, Peru, and Chile, and now a match with Mali is being planned. He also noted that it is important not to rush to conclusions about the game’s results in advance and emphasized the significance of which key players will come to the training camp.
Jokingly, he commented that now "we are playing not with shopping centers, but with serious opponents." It is known that the Russian national team held its last training camp in November of last year.
At that time, the team led by Valery Karpin drew 1:1 with Peru and lost 0:2 to Chile. At the same time, due to international sanctions, the Russian national team is currently not participating in official international competitions.
