This news is also confirmed by the euro-football.ru publication. Zidane previously managed Madrid's "Real" club and achieved great successes.
He is planned to take over the France national team after the next World Cup concludes. Thus, Zidane will return to coaching after a five-year break.
It should be noted that the France national team has been managed by Didier Deschamps since 2012. In the 2026 World Cup, France will compete in the group stage against Senegal and Norway.
The third opponent will be determined based on the results of the playoff matches in the qualifying stage. The tournament will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
