At the Asian Championship for adults taking place in China, the Uzbekistan national team secured its first prize. Husinboy Matrasulov, who represented our country in the -67 kilogram weight category, successfully achieved a bronze medal with his performance.
Our compatriot successfully lifted a barbell weighing 140 kg in the clean and jerk category, placing him among the top three in this discipline and earning a bronze medal.
However, Matrasulov was slightly unlucky in the snatch and total lift events. Although he recorded a result of 165 kg in the snatch, this was not enough for a medal. In the total lift, our athlete finished in 4th place with a result of 305 kilograms.
Thus, Husinboy Matrasulov marked the first medal for the Uzbekistan national team in this prestigious competition. Other members of our team are also striving to achieve successful results in their weight categories and secure new medals during the championship.
The Asian Championship also provides valuable ranking points for participation in the Higher League competitions, making this event significant for securing qualifications for the Olympic Games.
It is worth noting that the Asian Championship is ongoing, and other representatives of the Uzbekistan national team are expected to bring joy to our compatriots with new medals.
