Russia and Mali face each other on the field for the first time

Russian coach Valery Nepomnyashchy shared his thoughts ahead of the friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Mali. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The match is scheduled to take place on March 27. This was reported by euro-football.ru.
According to Nepomnyashchy, although the Russian national team is somewhat restricted from international relations under the current circumstances, playing against any opponent will be beneficial for the team. He emphasized that he does not consider the Mali national team an absolutely strong team, but the game will not be easy.
Additionally, the coach drew attention to the distinctive playing styles of African teams. He evaluated Senegal and Cameroon as teams distinguished by their technical skills, while Ghana and Mali were assessed as teams with a playing style close to the English style.
According to information, Mali currently holds the 54th position in the FIFA rankings. The Russian national team, under the management of Valery Karpin, is ranked 36th.
An interesting fact is that these two teams have never faced each other before. Therefore, this game is expected to be an intriguing event for experts and football enthusiasts.
