Uzbek boxers started the “Strandja” tournament with victories

The 77th traditional “Strandja” international boxing tournament has started in Sofia, Bulgaria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On the first day of the competition, the fights of our 7 boxers who entered the ring were interesting and full of emotions for the fans. Some secured confident victories and advanced to the next stage, while others left the competition due to lack of luck.
Abdulaziz Jo‘raqulov, competing in the 70-kilogram weight category, faced Kazakhstani Muhammadsobir Bazarbay Uulu in his initial fight. Our young boxer fought fearlessly against his opponent and showed character.
However, a few minor mistakes ultimately led to his defeat. Abdulaziz lost the opportunity with a score of 0:5.
In the 55-kilogram weight category, Samandar Olimov entered the ring against Ukrainian representative Elmir Nabiyev in his first fight. He maintained the tempo throughout the fight, kept the accuracy of his punches, and managed the situation correctly.
Samandar secured a confident victory with a score of 5:0 and will continue the competition in the next stage. In the 90-kilogram weight category, Samir Sobirov faced Turkish boxer Emre Taskin.
During the fight, Samir completely dominated his opponent and won with a score of 5:0. This result was important not only for advancing to the next stage but also for boosting the team’s morale.
We remind you that many more exciting fights await us in the competition. Among them, Fazliddin Erkinboyev will enter the ring against Mongolian Dalai Ganzorig.
