Filimonov: Safonov's success is not accidental

Former goalkeeper of the Russian national team Aleksandr Filimonov shared his thoughts on Matvey Safonov's performances at PSG. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to euro-football.ru, Filimonov emphasized that Safonov saving four consecutive penalties is not a coincidence but a testament to his high level of skill.

He stated: "Spectators judge the outcome of the game, but Safonov's success is the result of his skill." Currently, Matvey Safonov is solidifying his position as the main goalkeeper at PSG.

This season, he has played in three Champions League matches. Although Safonov conceded three goals in these games, he managed to keep a clean sheet in one of them.

In the French championship — Ligue 1, he has participated in six matches. In these games, he conceded a total of six goals but kept his goal clean in three matches.

Safonov's results demonstrate his growth as a professional goalkeeper.
