Fonseka opposed holding the World Cup in the USA

Paulo Fonseca, the coach who managed Donetsk's Shakhtar club and Italy's Milan team, attracted attention again with his political statement. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He criticized the idea of holding the World Cup in the USA and expressed his dissatisfaction with this decision. This was reported by the source euro-football.ru.

According to Fonseca, the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the presidency in the USA has caused concern in Europe. In his opinion, Trump's administration neglected the vulnerable segments of society and mainly pursued its own interests.

The coach emphasized that football competitions should promote human values. "The American leader pays attention not to people, but only to financial interests.

Football must be above money. For true fans and people devoted to the game, competitions should be held elsewhere, not in the USA," Fonseca said.

It is known that the World Cup is scheduled to start on June 11.
