Kerzhakov commented on the Russian national team
Former striker of the Russian national team Aleksandr Kerzhakov shared his thoughts on the current composition of the national team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He emphasized that there are good players among those gathered under the leadership of Valery Karpin. This was reported by euro-football.ru.
Kerzhakov especially noted that Aleksandr Golovin is playing at a high level in Europe. However, he refrained from commenting on what results the team might achieve at the European Championship or the 2026 World Cup.
The former footballer also added that he does not like such predictions. Additionally, Kerzhakov said that he wants the Russian national team to return to official competitions as soon as possible.
It is reported that the next gathering of the national team is planned to be held in four weeks. So far, the Russian Football Union has not announced the opponents for the friendly matches in March, but it is said that one of them might be the Mali national team.
