“Inter” defeated, “Newcastle” and “Bayer” advance
The next leg matches of the UEFA Champions League playoff stage have concluded. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The matches were as exciting and thrilling as expected. In particular, the elimination of last season’s finalist “Inter” caused a big stir.

At the same time, “Newcastle” showed a successful performance on their home ground and advanced to the next stage. Meanwhile, “Bayer” secured the necessary result in Germany with a cautious game.

In the match in Milan, “Inter” hosted Norway’s “Bodø/Glimt” club at their home stadium. During the game, the Italians tried to change the score.

Bastoni scored in the 76th minute, giving hope to his team. However, before that, the visitors had taken the lead with goals from Hauge and Even.

In the end, the 1:2 defeat meant “Inter” was eliminated from the competition. In this match, “Bodø/Glimt” once again proved to be a disciplined, calm, and well-prepared team.

In Germany, the game between “Bayer” and “Olympiacos” ended 0:0. Although there were no goals in this match, “Bayer” maintained their overall lead thanks to their 2:0 victory in the first leg and advanced to the next stage.

The Leverkusen team managed to reach the quarterfinals confidently, without unnecessary excitement. In England, the match between “Newcastle” and “Qarabag” stood out for its high scoring and entertainment.

At the start of the game, goals by Tonali and Joelinton gave “Newcastle” an early advantage. However, “Qarabag” managed to reduce the deficit with counterattacks.

Goals by Duran and Jafarquliyev brought the visitors back into the game. Nevertheless, Botman’s goal secured a 3:2 victory for “Newcastle”.

With this result, the English club advanced to the next stage. Thus, as a result of today’s matches, “Bodø/Glimt”, “Newcastle”, and “Bayer” reached the Champions League quarterfinals.

For “Inter”, this night ended painfully. The Champions League once again proved that only preparation and courage on the day matter.
