Argentina Championship Round 9 Postponed Due to Financial Disputes

The 9th round matches of the Argentina football championship have been postponed indefinitely. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made due to financial disputes surrounding the country's football federation. This was reported by euro-football.ru.
It is noted that the matches of the 7th and 8th rounds will be held as usual. However, the 9th round, which was scheduled to take place from March 5 to 8, is planned to be held later.
The main reason for this delay is that on March 5, the president of the Argentina Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, is expected to appear in court. According to reports, financial violations have been identified in the federation's activities.
In particular, it is said that tax evasion amounting to 19 billion pesos occurred through a scheme related to pension payments for former players and staff. This amount is approximately 12 million euros.
Additionally, there are suspicions that the federation may be involved in money laundering processes. This situation seriously damages the reputation of the football federation and once again highlights the need for reforms in the football sector within the country.
