Ignatyev: Safonov rightfully earned the position of main goalkeeper

Former Moscow "Lokomotiv" player Vladislav Ignatyev shared his thoughts about "PSG" goalkeeper Matvey Safonov's performances. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to euro-football.ru, Ignatyev believes that Safonov has rightfully secured the position of main goalkeeper.

At the same time, he emphasized the necessity of consistently performing at a high level in a top club. He noted that if Safonov experiences failures in several matches, he might lose his opportunity to Shevalyev in the competition.

This season, Matvey Safonov has played 10 matches for "PSG," conceding 10 goals. The Russian goalkeeper has been playing for this famous French club since the summer of 2024.

His contract is valid until mid-2029. Such competition clearly motivates players to constantly work on themselves and achieve high results.

For this reason, Safonov's upcoming matches are also being followed with great interest.
