During the match between the teams “Mevlanakapy Gyuzyelhisar” and “Istanbul Yurdum Spor,” when the goalkeeper tried to kick the ball far, the ball accidentally hit a seagull flying over the field. This incident sparked widespread discussion on social media.
The event was reported by euro-football.ru. After the bird fell to the ground, players from both teams immediately rushed to help.
Gani Chatan, the captain of “Istanbul Yurdum Spor,” quickly understood the situation and began performing cardiac massage on the bird. Afterwards, the seagull was taken to the edge of the field and handed over to medical staff.
According to information from Turkey’s AA news agency, the seagull survived. It cannot fly yet, but after being handed over to veterinarians, it is expected to recover.
