Marcelo Gallardo leaves "River Plate" coaching position

The head coach of Argentina's "River Plate" football club, Marcelo Gallardo, has decided to leave his position. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The official information about this was published on the club's official website. This news was also confirmed by the euro-football.ru website.

Gallardo will resign after the match against "Banfield" on February 26. The coach explained his decision by the team's recent unsatisfactory results.

Currently, "River Plate" is in 10th place in the Argentine championship standings, which is not a high-level result for the team. Marcelo Gallardo worked with the "River Plate" team in two periods.

During his tenure from 2014 to 2022, he won 14 trophies with the team. He brought great achievements to the club by winning the national championship and the Libertadores Cup twice.

At the same time, Gallardo is remembered as one of the most successful coaches in the history of "River Plate".
