Kapello: Leau is not a central striker

Sports03:05, 26-02-2026

Renowned coach Fabio Capello stated that Rafael Leau, one of AC Milan's key players, is not seen as a pure central striker. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by euro-football.ru. The Portuguese player is actually considered a winger.

However, under the leadership of Massimiliano Allegri, he sometimes plays in the forward line. This season, Leau has participated in 19 Serie A matches, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists.

However, Fabio Capello doubts his effectiveness as a central striker. "For me, he is not a pure striker.

Although he has scored many goals, he cannot be the main focal point of the team’s frontline. We can say this clearly now," Capello said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Currently, AC Milan is in second place in the Serie A standings. The club is 10 points behind the leader, Inter.
