Football championship in Argentina was suspended due to corruption

The postponement of the 9th round matches of the national football championship in Argentina has been announced. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision was made due to a corruption scandal surrounding the country's football federation. Euro-football.ru reported this.
It is known that the 7th and 8th round matches of the championship will be held as scheduled, but the 9th round matches will be temporarily suspended. Initially, the 9th round games were planned to take place from March 5 to 8.
However, on March 5, the president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, is expected to appear in court regarding a corruption case. According to Derbyderbyderby.it, this scandal originated from an illegal scheme related to pension payments for former players and federation employees.
Through this scheme, tax evasion amounting to 19 billion pesos may have occurred. This sum is approximately equivalent to 12 million euros.
Additionally, the federation is also being investigated for possible involvement in illegal money laundering activities. Currently, investigations on this matter are ongoing.
For this reason, the exact date for the next championship matches is unknown. This event has caused significant interest and concern among the football community.
