"Liverpool" advanced to the quarter-finals of the English Cup

In the first match of the English Cup round of 16, Liverpool secured a confident 3-1 away victory over Wolverhampton. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Arne Slot's team thus recovered after an unexpected defeat in the English Premier League three days ago and secured a place in the next stage of the cup — the quarterfinals. The first half of the match at the Molineux Stadium was played cautiously.
Both teams tried to minimize mistakes. However, at the start of the second half, Liverpool revived the game with speed and precision.
In the 51st minute, Andrew Robertson opened the scoring. Two minutes later, in the 53rd minute, Mohamed Salah scored his goal, further strengthening the Reds' advantage — 0-2.
After these episodes, it became much harder for Wolverhampton to get back into the game, as Liverpool took control of both the ball and the tempo. In the 74th minute, Curtis Jones scored the team's third goal, almost sealing the intrigue.
The hosts responded only in added time, with Hwang's goal in the 90+1st minute. However, this goal did not affect the result — Liverpool won 3-1 and saw the job through.
This result was also very important psychologically for Liverpool. Slot's team quickly restored confidence after the unexpected defeat in the Premier League and sent a signal in the cup that "I am still here."
