Erling Haaland took his injury with humor

Sports01:34, 09-03-2026

"Manchester City" forward Erling Haaland shared a photo of his injured leg on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The picture clearly shows a deep mark and cut on his calf left by the studs. The Norwegian footballer humorously commented on the situation, blaming his teammate Mateo Kovacic for the injury and thanking him.

This unfortunate incident occurred during training. "Manchester City" played against "Newcastle" in the English Cup Round of 16 last Saturday and won 3-1.

However, Erling Haaland was not included in the squad for this match. Head coach Josep Guardiola decided to give Haaland a rest ahead of the important Champions League game against "Real Madrid".

This decision was made taking Haaland's injury into account. Thus, he is preparing for the crucial Champions League match.

This will certainly have a positive impact on the team's future success. Source: One.uz.
