Rodri was punished for criticizing the referees

The Football Association of England has decided to take disciplinary action against Manchester City's leading player Rodri based on its official decision. Zamin.uz reported this.
This decision was made following a tense match in the twenty-fourth round of the English Premier League against Tottenham, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The Spanish midfielder was punished for openly criticizing the referees' performance after the match and questioning their decisions.
The incident was triggered by a goal scored by Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke. Rodri expressed dissatisfaction with the decision made by referee Robert Jones and emphasized that fouls had occurred during the match.
In a subsequent interview, he stated that because Manchester City has won many victories, others do not wish them success and that referees must always be impartial. The player's words were assessed as a statement casting doubt on the referees' impartiality and suggesting bias.
The Football Association of England classified this incident as unacceptable behavior. According to the final decision, Rodri was fined eighty thousand British pounds and issued an official warning.
It is reported that during the investigation process, a Manchester City representative fully admitted his guilt. This incident once again demonstrated how sharp disputes between referees and players regarding match rules can become in the English Premier League.
