After diagnosing a tear in the anterior cruciate ligaments and lateral meniscus of the player's right leg, doctors decided to perform surgery immediately. According to official club information, the operation was carried out under full supervision by specialists from Real Madrid's medical service.
This unfortunate incident occurred during an important match against Getafe in the 26th round of the Spanish championship. Interestingly, despite his injury, Rodrigo managed to finish the match until the end.
Although he came on from the bench in the 40th minute, he endured severe pain to continue playing and only discovered the injury after the match ended. Now, the player will begin his recovery process in the coming days and start regular rehabilitation sessions.
This season, Rodrigo has managed to appear in 77 matches for Real across all competitions. He has scored three goals and provided six assists to his name.
