Rakitic Demanded to Be Recognized as an Honorary Guest of Messina

Former midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who created one of the brightest pages in the history of Spain's famous "Barcelona" club, expressed deep thoughts and feelings about Lionel Messi on his 38th birthday that had never been expressed before. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Croatian star, the respect shown to the Argentine maestro is still not sufficient, and the club should accept him in such a way that he is recognized as a true honorary guest. Rakitic considers Messi not only a legend for one club but for the entire world of football and emphasized that he should continue playing on the field.
According to Rakitic, Messi's influence goes far beyond simple loyalty; he has attracted entire generations with his understanding of the game and his ability to change it. He said that everyone who loves football cannot help but love Messi, and the respect shown to him is necessary not only in Catalonia or Spain but throughout the entire Earth.
These thoughts were expressed after Messi transferred to "Inter Miami" in 2023, following the club management's unsuccessful attempts to bring him back. However, due to administrative problems, the romantic return did not happen, clearly showing that fans were deprived of a perfect ending for the club's greatest player.
During the conversation, Rakitic also spoke about the current head coach of "Paris Saint-Germain," Luis Enrique. He rated Enrique as one of the best coaches in the world and regretted that after leading the team to a treble in the 2014-2015 season and being written in golden letters in "Barcelona" history, he did not stay longer at the club.
Recalling the victory in the Champions League final against "Juventus" in 2015, the Croatian footballer admitted that he is upset that the team has not won the European championship since then. In his opinion, the current squad has lost its passion, which has also been noticeable in recent games.
