Dembele Denies Rumors of Move to Manchester City

One of the leading players of the French national team, Ousmane Dembele, has tried to calm down various speculations circulating in the media regarding his future at Paris Saint-Germain. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Recently, reports have increased suggesting he could move to the English club Manchester City. Dembele openly stated that he sees no reason not to extend his contract with the club.
He emphasized that negotiations regarding the contract are still ongoing and that talks between his agent and club officials are taking place. The rumors intensified after reports emerged that Dembele's representative, Moussa Sissoko, met with Hugo Viana, the sporting director of the English club, in Madrid.
This meeting immediately fueled talk about interest in the player. However, renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano later clarified that this meeting was not directly related to Dembele's transfer.
Speaking to journalists, the footballer stated that throughout his career he has not personally dealt with contract details. He noted that the decision is not yet entirely in his hands, but for now, his main focus remains on results on the football pitch.
Currently, Dembele's contract is valid until 2028, and the club continues negotiations for a new deal. However, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi had previously announced that the club would strictly adhere to its salary structure.
If the player demands terms befitting his high status in world football, negotiations could become somewhat complicated. Nevertheless, Dembele holds decisive importance in head coach Luis Enrique's plans.
The club continues the process of extending contracts with other key players, confident in reaching an agreement soon and dispelling new interest spreading across Europe. Source: Goal.com
