Mirziyoyev Inspected the New Football Stadium in Yangi Toshkent

On March 24 of this year, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, personally inspected the construction process of a modern football stadium being built in Yangi Toshkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The head of state paid special attention to ensuring that this major project is completed strictly within the specified deadlines and meets international quality standards. Currently, work at the construction site is proceeding rapidly.
Land leveling and preparation works have been fully completed, while the foundation pouring process is nearing 95 percent completion. Necessary metal structures and other materials for the construction are being delivered in stages.
As part of the planned project, a six-story modern stadium with a capacity of 55,000 spectators will be constructed. The facility will include more than ten automatic escalators to ensure convenient movement.
Additionally, more than three additional training pitches for football players will be established within the stadium area. To develop the surrounding infrastructure, a metro station will be built nearby, and a spacious parking lot capable of accommodating 5,500 vehicles will be organized.
The total cost of this major sports facility amounts to one hundred million US dollars. The stadium is being constructed in preparation for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in 2027.
In accordance with the requirements of FIFA, the final and semi-final matches of the tournament must be held in stadiums of such large capacity. President Mirziyoyev emphasized that this facility is the first closed sports complex of such large capacity in the history of our country.
He instructed that construction works and landscaping of the surrounding area be carried out at every stage with high quality and responsibility. The Yangi Toshkent stadium will play an important role not only in raising the national level of Uzbek athletes but also in hosting major international competitions in the future.
This project plays a decisive role in elevating our country's sports infrastructure to a new level and encouraging young people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Source: One.uz
