Famous Russian boxer Artur Beterbiyev stated that the offer he received from Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov left him astonished. The point is that Kadyrov proposed to name the new sports complex being built in Grozny after Beterbiyev.
The athlete himself personally commented on this on his social media page:
“I never expected such an offer! It is a great honor for me, and it is hard to express my heartfelt gratitude. Ramzan Akhmatovich has always highly appreciated my humble achievements in sports. His trust gives me strength,” Beterbiyev wrote.
According to reports, the universal sports complex being constructed in Grozny will have modern infrastructure, and it is planned to hold training sessions for two Olympic sports — fencing and boxing — simultaneously.
The Zamin.uz editorial team will continue to observe how this sports facility named after Beterbiyev can serve as an inspiring source for the younger generation. How do you evaluate such an offer?
