Roma club forgives Ferguson and is bringing Shomurodov back

Roma, a club seriously competing for top positions in the Italian Serie A, made one of the most important decisions in its history at the start of the season. Zamin.uz reported on this.
The team had loaned Uzbek striker Eldor Shomurodov to Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey. However, it became clear that the Romans could not find a reliable player to fully replace Shomurodov and bolster their attack after his departure.
Irishman Evan Ferguson, who was invited from the English Premier League to replace Shomurodov, also failed to deliver expected results. The Irish striker scored only three goals in sixteen matches and regularly missed games due to health issues.
Therefore, Roma decided to bring him back at the end of the season. During the loan period, Roma received three million euros from Istanbul for Shomurodov.
The contract also includes an additional clause: if Basaksehir maintains its place in the Turkish Super Lig, they will need to pay an additional two million eight hundred thousand euros to fully transfer the Uzbek striker. The Istanbul club is currently competing for top positions in the Super Lig and fighting to qualify for European tournaments.
In this regard, Eldor Shomurodov's contribution is of great importance, having scored ten goals in twenty-seven matches. Given this situation, it appears that Shomurodov may not return to Rome in the summer and his ties with Roma could be completely severed.
Therefore, the club management is preparing to attract world-famous Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to fill Eldor Shomurodov's place. Salah recently announced that he would leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
According to analysts, the thirty-three-year-old striker may return to the Italian Serie A, where he made a positive turn in his career. Salah played for Roma between 2015 and 2017, establishing himself as a high-level striker.
The prestigious La Gazzetta dello Sport also reported that Mohamed Salah is considering the possibility of leaving Liverpool and returning specifically to Roma. According to sources, he could spend one season with the Italian club, aiming to give him time for future decisions.
Salah participated in a total of 83 matches across all competitions for the Wolves, scoring 34 goals and providing 21 assists to his teammates. In the current season, he scored ten goals and made ten assists in 34 matches for Liverpool.
According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is currently estimated at around 30 million euros. Now, the Romans aim to strengthen their attacking potential through Mohamed Salah and achieve high goals in Serie A.
