Manchester City stars Semaev and Husanov's success with their national teams

Manchester City club detailed the recent performances of team stars Antoine Semeyu and Abdug'odir Husanov in their national teams on its official website. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Both players showed excellent results in serious competitions representing their countries. Antoine Semeyu played the full 90 minutes in the match against Germany as part of the Ghana national team.
He constantly threatened the opponent's defense in the first half and created several goal-scoring opportunities. However, near the end of the first half, a penalty taken by Kai Havertz allowed Germany to open the scoring.
After the Ghana team started their response, Semeyu came close to scoring again. He left defenders behind and delivered a precise pass into the penalty area, but the shot was redirected by Nico Schlotterbeck in a different direction.
Abdul Fatawu, who came on in the 66th minute, changed the course of the game. He equalized the score within just four minutes, giving a strong boost to his team.
Later, Deniz Undav, known for his goal-scoring ability in the Bundesliga, put Germany ahead in the 88th minute. This assist was made by Manchester City's former player Leroy Sane.
Abdug'odir Husanov played the full 90 minutes in the match against the Venezuela national team at the National Stadium in Tashkent. Husanov contributed significantly to maintaining the integrity of his goal by effectively suppressing opponent attacks with his reliable actions and distinctive defensive style.
Since no goals were scored during regular time, the teams proceeded to a penalty shootout. The Uzbekistan national team won this tough match 5:4, proving their strength.
Now, Manchester City faces an important match in the English Cup quarterfinals. On April 4, Premier League champions Liverpool will visit the Etihad Arena.
Additionally, Abdug'odir Husanov was recognized as the best player of the FIFA Series 2026 tournament. He was also nominated in the club's poll for the best player of March.
Husanov was named the club's best player in January and this time he is competing against strong rivals like Rodri and Jeremy Doku to win this award for the second time. Source: one.uz
