The Uzbekistan Professional Football League demanded the removal of referee Rustam Lutfullin

The Uzbekistan Professional Football League has expressed a sharp reaction regarding the quality of refereeing and the situation with the video replay system in football matches across the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The organization officially appealed to the Uzbekistan Football Referees Center, demanding a review of controversial decisions. In particular, the issue of temporarily suspending head referee Rustam Lutfullin from competitions at all levels was raised.
According to a report by One.uz, this decision was prompted by uncertainties that occurred during the match between Qo'qon-1912 and Nasaf. In the seventy-eighth minute of the game, although the head referee initially made the correct decision, the situation was artificially changed due to the intervention of VAR representative Ibrohim Ismoilov.
The results of a rapid analysis conducted by a group of experts showed that this call was an error. Additionally, errors made during the match between Dinamo and Nasaf last season were also recalled.
At that time, because the VAR system was not working due to technical malfunctions, the referee avoided responsibility. The leadership of the Professional Football League is raising a legitimate question.
If referees continue to make systemic errors despite the availability of technology and replays from various angles, what would be the current purpose of the VAR system? Although no final conclusion has been announced on this matter yet, serious discussions regarding improving the level of refereeing continue among the football community.
Fans and specialists expect fair decisions to be made and for order and discipline on the football fields to be brought under control.
