Samvel Babayan has resigned from his position as head coach of the Andijan club

As part of the seventh round of the Uzbekistan Super League, the Andijon team hosted OKMK of Olmaliq on their home ground. Zamin.uz reported this.
The match, filled with intense struggle, ended in a 2:1 victory for the visitors. Following this defeat, Andijon's head coach Samvel Babayan officially announced his resignation and departure from the club during a press conference.
Expressing his thoughts after the match, Samvel Babayan apologized to the fans for the result. He noted that this was the first time in his career he had found himself in such a situation and expressed regret that it happened specifically with the Andijon team.
According to the coach, they did not start the game poorly and tried to make use of several opportunities, but errors in defense proved costly. In his speech, the specialist specifically acknowledged the conditions created by the club management and the regional administration.
As reported by One.uz, Babayan noted that every possible effort was made to build the team, but consecutive failures in subsequent rounds had a negative impact on the team's morale. In particular, the inexplicable defeats that occurred after the FIFA days became the main reason for the coaching staff's resignation.
Babayan described his decision as a manly step and stated that it was time to hand over the management of the club to another specialist. He added that he had come with the intention of achieving the best result in the history of the Andijon team, but in the current situation, he could do no more.
The coach emphasized that he and his staff worked day and night for the team, but the result was not as expected, and wished success to everyone.
