Lionel Messi scored a brace and brought victory to Inter Miami

Lionel Messi scored twice for Inter Miami in the match against Colorado Rapids and brought victory to his team. Thanks to his brace, the match ended with a score of 3-2. This game was the first match of Guillermo Hoyos as head coach following the departure of Javier Mascherano from the club.
In the 18th minute of the match the Argentine star opened the scoring from the penalty spot. A short while later German Berterame increased the team lead to 2-0. However, in the second half the opponents launched active attacks and managed to level the score. The final point in the match was put on the 79th minute, again by Lionel Messi, and this strike secured the victory for Miami.
The encounter took place at Empower Field at Mile High and was watched by 75,824 football fans. This figure ranked second in the list of matches with the highest attendance in the history of the American professional league.
After this match Messi raised his total number of goals this season to seven. After the game head coach Guillermo Hoyos highly praised the captain skill. Speaking about Messi goal, he emphasised that such a result can only be achieved by a footballer as skilful as him.
