Arne Slot stresses the importance of the win over Everton

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, after the 2-1 victory over Everton, stressed in his post-match remarks how important this encounter was for the team.
According to the manager, the club had previously faced strong opponents such as PSG and Manchester City. Although the results of those matches did not favour Liverpool, the players demonstrated a high level of quality on the pitch.
Slot noted that the serious squad losses during the season had a negative impact on the overall results. In particular, injuries to key players in the starting lineup led to the loss of several valuable points. For this reason, the victory over Everton brought great joy to both the players and the fans.
The manager emphasised that this win lifted the spirits not only of himself and the coaching staff but of the entire team. He explained that the club and the supporters share common goals, and everyone wants to achieve good results, yet due to various circumstances and situations not all plans have been realised.
Arne Slot also cited the unusual and difficult nature of the season, noting that two goalkeepers being injured in the same team at once is an extremely rare occurrence. He added that such unexpected difficulties significantly complicated the club work. In conclusion, he underlined that the victory over Everton is the most important result at this moment.
