Nicky Butt Disbelieves Bernardo Silva's Move to Manchester United

Former Manchester United midfielder Nicky Butt has shared his thoughts on rumors regarding Manchester City star Bernardo Silva's potential move to Old Trafford. According to the experienced specialist, the Portuguese talent will not make such a high-profile and controversial transfer, similar to what Carlos Tevez once did.
Although Silva's current contract is nearing its end, his loyalty to the blue side of the city and respect for the team make him unwilling to join their arch-rivals, as reported by Goal.com. Butt described Silva as a perfect player for any team in the world but specifically noted that he might not fit well into the current Manchester United system.
According to the former player, with a leader like Bruno Fernandes already in the squad, it would be very difficult to field two creative midfielders simultaneously and maintain game balance. Furthermore, Silva has won every possible trophy under manager Pep Guardiola and would not want to jeopardize his high reputation.
At the same time, Butt regretfully recalled how Manchester United missed out on defender John Stones. During his years working at the club's academy, serious negotiations were held with Stones, but the talented player ultimately chose Manchester City.
Butt compared Stones to the legendary Rio Ferdinand, praising his ability not only in defense but also to move into the center of the pitch to organize the play. In his view, losing such a versatile defender was a major mistake for the club.
Currently, the 31-year-old Bernardo Silva is attracting serious interest from Spanish giants. Barcelona and Real Madrid are the main contenders for the player, who is expected to become a free agent in the near future.
Meanwhile, Manchester United's management is focusing on finding a different type of midfielder who can operate effectively alongside team captain Fernandes. The club plans to rejuvenate the squad and fundamentally change its style of play in the future.
