Julian Alvarez's Agent Denies Barcelona Transfer Rumors

Fernando Hidalgo, the agent of Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, has responded to reports circulating about the player's potential move to Barcelona during the summer transfer window. According to Zamin.uz, the agent dismissed claims that the striker, who is of interest to Catalan coach Hansi Flick, is looking for a home in another Spanish city as completely baseless.
He emphasized that such rumors regarding the player's future are far from the truth. Hidalgo strictly denied reports on social media suggesting that Alvarez's brothers were scouting real estate in Catalonia.
According to the agent, the player's family members last visited Barcelona only for Atletico's match against the club, and immediately after the game, everyone returned to Madrid. In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, the agent specifically noted that this information is a thousand percent false and that no family member has been in Barcelona recently.
Hidalgo considers such talk to be mere fabrication. According to Goal.com, the agent also hinted that the player is satisfied with his career at his current club.
Nevertheless, Alvarez himself has yet to give a clear answer regarding his future. Although he says he feels happy under coach Diego Simeone, he did not completely rule out the possibility of moving to another team in an interview given in the spring.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's management keeps the Argentine forward on their list of primary targets as a suitable successor to the experienced Robert Lewandowski. Time will tell whether this transfer will materialize in the future.
