Eder Militao to miss World Cup due to serious injury

The unfortunate news regarding Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has been confirmed, according to Zamin.uz. The Brazilian center-back is set to miss the 2026 World Cup due to a severe injury.
This situation is expected to create a significant void not only in the player's career but also in the strategic plans of both his club and the national team. According to reports from COPE, a serious issue has been identified in the muscles of the player's left thigh, requiring him to undergo surgery soon.
The most difficult aspect of the situation is that this injury resulted from a recurrence of previous physical problems. In December last year, Eder Militao suffered an injury in the same area, which kept him off the pitch for nearly four months.
The latest injury occurred during a La Liga match against Alaves. Although the Madrid club secured a hard-fought victory in that game, the loss of their key defender overshadowed the win.
According to the club's medical staff, the Brazilian footballer will be unable to assist his team for the remainder of the current season. This season has been particularly unlucky for Eder Militao regarding injuries, as this marks his third time sidelined within the year.
Nevertheless, he had participated in 16 Spanish championship matches, proving himself as one of the most vital members of the team's defensive line. Now, a long recovery process awaits the player.
The Brazilian national team's coaching staff will be forced to search for new candidates to strengthen the central defense ahead of the upcoming prestigious tournament. Militao's absence will be a major test for both teams.
