"Surxon" defeated "Pakhtakor" in the Uzbekistan Cup

The second round of the group stage matches of the Uzbekistan Cup in football has been completed, Zamin.uz reports.
The matches in this round presented unexpected results, big scores, and intense battles for the fans. In particular, Surkhon team's victory over Pakhtakor, one of the current champions of the country, and FarDU team's big-score success in Nukus attracted the attention of specialists.
Playing at home, Surkhon team defeated Pakhtakor 2:0, showing disciplined play. In the 20th minute, Sunnatillo Abdullajonov opened the score, and in the second half, Stefen Chinedu confidently converted a penalty to secure the win.
Despite having experienced footballers in its lineup, Pakhtakor struggled to break through the opponent's defense. Surkhon, thanks to organized defense and effective attacks, secured three important points.
Another interesting match took place between the teams of Yaypan and Kattaqorgon, where the hosts won by a minimal score of 1:0.
The outcome of the game was determined by the only goal scored by Muzaffar Mominov in the 73rd minute. In the match between Khorezm and Navbahor in Urgench, the winner was not determined.
Although the Namangan team opened the scoring with a goal by Abbos Gulomov in the first half, Daniil Nugumanov restored balance in the second half, saving his team from defeat. The biggest score was recorded in Nukus.
The FarDU team successfully scored seven unanswered goals into the goal of the Karakalpakstan Football Academy trainees. In the Fergana lineup, Maharram Abelfazov, Asadbek Zokirjonov, Boburbek Farhodov, Norxon Sheripov, and Murodjon Komilov each scored one goal, while Riza Ayvazov recorded a brace, ensuring the team's confident victory.
According to the One.uz website, the second round of the Uzbekistan Cup turned out to be even more interesting than expected. Surkhon team's victory over Pakhtakor became the main event of the round.
FarDU, with its dominant performance, surprised everyone. The struggle in the match is becoming even more intense, as in the cup matches, it is not the team's name that matters, but rather the will and actions on the field that decide the outcome, which has once again been proven.
