The unexpected composition of the England national team for the World Cup has been revealed
The final squad of the England national team for the 2026 World Cup was leaked to the media before its official announcement, Zamin.uz reports.

Under head coach Thomas Tuchel, several unexpected changes have drawn widespread attention. According to the leaked information, key players Cole Palmer and Phil Foden will not be traveling to North America for the influential tournament in the upcoming influential tournament.

Additionally, Manchester United defenders Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire are expected to be left out of the squad, as reported by Goal.com.

Phil Foden failed to deliver consistent performances under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this season and managed only seven goals in the Premier League. Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, despite appearing in thirty matches and scoring ten goals, did not make Tuchel’s final list.

These decisions came as a complete surprise to many football experts and fans, as these players had been considered core members of the national team in recent years.

Notably, a spot has been found for Ivan Toni of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli in the attacking line, while in defense, Thomas Tuchel is undertaking serious restructuring.

Fikayo Tomori, who has been reliable at Milan, and experienced Harry Maguire have both been dropped from the squad. In their place, Jon Stones has returned to the lineup.

Furthermore, Newcastle’s Dan Burn and Manchester City’s young talent Niko O’Reilly are expected to be called up. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice will form the team’s core, with Noni Madueke also expected to join them.

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has also secured a place in the tournament squad. Thomas Tuchel has decided to retain Jordan Henderson in the squad to improve the dressing room atmosphere and preserve experience.

These changes have sparked debate over how England’s participation in the World Cup will unfold.
