David Alaba will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season
Real Madrid defender David Alaba will leave the club at the end of the end. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The leadership of the capital club decided not to extend the contract with the Austrian footballer. This information was officially confirmed by the club on Friday.

So far, it remains unknown which team the 33-year-old experienced defender will continue his career with. This is reported by Goal.com.

Alaba moved to Madrid as a free agent from Bayern Munich in Germany in 2021. During his time there, he won several significant trophies with Real Madrid, including two UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga championships.

However, his activity in Spain was seriously affected by severe injuries. In particular, in late 2023, a rupture of the cruciate ligaments kept him out of action for a long period.

Later, in the summer of 2025, another injury further delayed his return to the field. Due to health problems, Alaba participated in only fifteen matches this season.

Nevertheless, the club’s leadership and fans highly appreciate his contribution to the team’s success. In an official statement, Real Madrid expressed deep gratitude for the defender’s service during one of the brightest periods in the club’s history.

Club president Florentino Pérez also spoke warmly of Alaba in his address, emphasizing that Madrid and the club will always remain open to him. A farewell ceremony for David Alaba is planned before the match against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, as part of the final home game of the season, to be held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

After this event, the footballer will join the Austria national team as captain to prepare for the upcoming World Cup in North America. Alaba’s departure signals the beginning of a new era of renewal in Real Madrid’s defense.
