Barcelona reach final agreement with Anthony Gordon

Anthony Gordon, the winger of Newcastle United, is expected to continue his career in the Spanish championship. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to information from well-known insider Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona has reached an agreement regarding the transfer of the English footballer. This deal could become one of the biggest and most significant moves for the Catalan club in the summer transfer window.

As stated in the source, the transfer fee for the twenty-five-year-old left winger amounts to seventy million euros. Additionally, the contract includes extra bonuses worth ten million euros.

Earlier, reports emerged that the Catalans had already fully agreed on personal contract terms with Gordon. Now, it is expected that the footballer will travel to Barcelona, undergo a medical examination, and sign an official contract with his new team.

It is known that Anthony Gordon will arrive in Spain on Monday. If the medical checks are successfully completed, he will sign a five-year contract with the blaugrana.

This indicates that the club's management and coaching staff view the player as an important part of a long-term project. For Barcelona, this transfer is expected to add speed, energy, and sharpness to the attacking line.

The English winger stands out for his active play on the left flank, constantly pressing opposing defenders and creating danger in quick counterattacks. Under the leadership of Hans-Dieter Flick, Barcelona aims to further expand its attacking possibilities in the upcoming season.

A talented player like Gordon could benefit the team not only on the wing but also in other attacking areas. His experience gained in the English Premier League may help him adapt more quickly to Spanish football.

For Newcastle, parting with Gordon will not be easy, as he had become one of the team's key players. However, the substantial fee offered is considered highly beneficial for the English club from a financial standpoint.

In the completed season, Anthony Gordon appeared in twenty-six matches in the English Championship, scored six goals, and provided two assists. Although the numbers may not seem exceptionally high, his activity on the pitch and ability to challenge opposing defenses were key factors that caught the attention of Barcelona's scouts.

Currently, the final official procedures between the clubs are underway. If everything proceeds according to plan, a new fast attacker will appear in Catalonia in the near future.
