Enzo Fernandes wants to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandes has announced his intention to leave the club during the current transfer window, according to Zamin.uz.
The decision is reportedly linked to the team finishing tenth in the English Premier League and missing out on qualification for European competitions next season. Although Chelsea’s management is reluctant to let go of the world champion, they have reportedly set a price of £120 million for the player amid the situation.
According to Goal.com, the Argentine star’s representatives have already begun negotiations with officials from Real Madrid. The 25-year-old, currently considered Chelsea’s vice-captain, has made it clear he does not intend to extend his current contract.
Many specialists noted that Fernandes bid farewell to teammates after Chelsea’s final match of the season against Sunderland. Recall that Fernandes joined Chelsea in January 2023 from Portuguese side Benfica for a fee of €121 million.
At present, Chelsea plans to resolve this transfer matter fully before new head coach Xabi Alonso takes charge. During his short tenure, Fernandes has achieved significant success.
With the Argentina national team, he won the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Copa América. At club level, with Chelsea, he won the Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
His personal collection also includes league medals from Portugal and Argentina, as well as the prestigious Copa Sudamericana trophy—further proof of his elite level.
Over the past season, the Argentine playmaker appeared in 54 matches across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 7 assists. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is expected to make a final decision on this transfer soon.
If the Spanish giants are unwilling to meet the demanded fee, Fernandes may remain at Chelsea for another season without Champions League football and continue playing under Xabi Alonso. The outcome of the situation should become clear in the coming days.
